Having moved from Australia to The Netherlands some years ago, I was amazed at the amount and quality of affordable vintage furniture to be found here in Europe. Beautiful old chairs were begging to be refurbished. 

In 2017 I made a point of learning upholstery in order to restore pieces initially for myself and later for friends as well. With growing demand for unique pieces Cherish Chairs was established in 2018.

I love the variety and history of the projects that I get to work on. Every chair is different which keeps me honing my skills and broadening my experience.  

My atelier is in fact the old bike shed and it's bit on the small side, so currently I am not able to tackle sofas. One day though, with a bit of expansion....
